Pick a Great Wine Every Time With Approach Guides’ New iPhone Italian Wine Guide

NEW YORK CITY, 10 March 2010 –Approach Guides is pleased to announce that its application, Approach Guides Wine™ for iPhone, is now available on the Apple App Store. The app helps anyone, no matter what their level of wine knowledge, navigate any Italian wine list with ease and choose a wine with confidence.

With the Approach Guides Wine iPhone application, users can quickly select a wine using four options — by style, grape, region or food pairing — and can expand their wine knowledge by reading about all of Italy’s grapes, regions and vintages. Further, Approach Guides Wine does not require an internet connection, so this information is always available.

“Approach Guides Wine transforms the wine purchasing experience,” said David Raezer, Founder of Approach Guides Wine. “Italy, in particular, has a tremendous number of little-known grape varieties and small producers, making it very difficult to narrow down a wine list. Instead of requiring the user to type in each bottle on a list to find out if it has been reviewed, our application highlights specific grapes and regions which consistently deliver good wines at value price points, making it easy for a customer to order from an Italian wine list or buy Italian wines in a store.”

Approach Guides Wine features include:

  • 4 “never-fail” approaches to finding a great Italian wine: by style, by grape, by region, and by food pairing.
  • Super-fast access to wine information, from any location — no internet connection needed.
  • AG Wine’s recommendations focus on attractively-priced, high-quality wines.
  • Ability to expand wine knowledge with detailed reviews of Italy’s grapes, regions, and DOCs.
  • Users can also mark their favorites and record their own tasting notes.
  • Wine information that can be trusted. Approach Guides Wine operates 100% independently, so users can be confident that they are getting the best advice.
  • Discounted pricing for existing customers on all incremental countries profiled by Approach Guides Wine.
  • Connects to Facebook and Twitter; emails tasting notes and descriptions.

The Approach Guides Wine application for the iPhone (requires OS 3.0 or higher) or iPod Touch is available for $3.99 from the iTunes App Store on both devices, or at www.itunes.com/appstore
